India will aim to inflict a first Test series defeat on Australia

India will aim to inflict a first Test series defeat on Australia since the 2005 Ashes when the final Test starts at the new Nagpur stadium on Thursday.



India go into the match with a 1-0 lead but have been rocked by the suspension of in-form opener Gautam Gambhir.
Murali Vijay is set to take his place while spinner Harbhajan Singh replaces retired skipper Anil Kumble and Sourav Ganguly plays his final Test.

Both teams have yet to get a feel of the new stadium and its wicket, having practised at a different grounds over the last two days, although the captains have visited the venue.
